Page Named Preseason All-Big Ten

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Women's Basketball senior guard Teniya Page has been honored as a Preseason All-Big Ten pick by both the coaches and media panels, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Two 12-person preseason all-conference teams were chosen, one by the Big Ten head coaches and the other selected by a panel of media members. Each panel also ranked their top three teams. Complete Preseason All-Big Ten rankings and teams are listed below.

Page enters her senior season in the Blue and White as a three-time All-Big Ten pick, two-time All-ECAC selection, and a 2017 WBCA All-American honorable mention and All-Region honoree. She has totaled 1,589 points throughout her first three years at Penn State for a career average of 17.9 points per game. The Chicago native sits just 411 points away from hitting the 2,000-career point mark, a feat that only five other players in program history have accomplished.

Page has already etched her name into several of Penn State's record books. Her 17.9 points per game scoring average ranks No. 4 all-time. She is one of five Penn Staters with 1,500 career points and 300 career assists. Page owns seven career 30-plus point games to sit tied for No. 2 all-time at Penn State. She has averaged 35.4 minutes per game throughout her career, a mark that ranks second in the Lady Lion history books.

Page wrapped up a strong junior campaign averaging 18.4 points per game a season ago. She contributed 19.9 ppg as a sophomore and 15.3 ppg as a freshman.

Page and the Lady Lions hit the hardwood Sunday, Oct. 28 in an exhibition game against Lock Haven at the Bryce Jordan Center. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. and the game is open to the public and free of charge. The 2018-19 season officially gets underway on Nov. 8 when the Lady Lions host Providence.
