ROSEMONT, Ill. – After leading the Nittany Lions against Virginia Tech and Big Ten foe no. 10 Ohio State over the weekend, Hector Garcia Boissier earned a weekly Big Ten honor, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
Garcia Boissier was named Big Ten Men's Diver of the Week, his first Big Ten honor of the season and the third of his career.
Against the Hokies and Buckeyes, Garcia Boissier posted wins in both the 1-meter (366.30) and the 3-meter (403.55) dives. Garcia has swept both diving events in each of the three meets this season.
The award is his second this season and third of his career.
Penn State will travel to Princeton, NJ for the Big Al Open Nov. 9 and 10, while select swimmers will swim in the B1G/ACC Challenge Nov. 10 and 11.
