Nittany Lions finish first duals of the season

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's and women's fencing teams traveled to Columbus, Ohio for the first dual meets of the season. Head coach Wes Glon's teams competed against Princeton, Notre Dame, Penn, and Ohio State. Additionally, the Penn State women's fencing team fenced Cornell and Northwestern.

The men's team won two of four. The Nittany Lions beat Penn, 14-13, and Ohio State, 14-13 but dropped action against Notre Dame, 20-7, and Princeton, 15-12.

The women's team went 3-3. The Nittany Lions won against Cornell, 19-8; Penn, 16-11, and Princeton, 16-11. Penn State suffered losses to Notre Dame, 16-11; Northwestern, 15-12, and Ohio State, 14-13.
