No. 7 Women’s Volleyball Sweep Northwestern on Senior Night

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 7 Penn State women's volleyball team swept the Northwestern Wildcats on Senior Night, 25-6, 25-14, 25-17, Saturday night at Rec Hall to move to 22-6, 13-5 on the year.
Penn State has now reached at least 22 wins in forty consecutive seasons.

Freshman Jonni Parker put down double-digit kills with a team-high 11 on .579 hitting. Fellow freshman Serena Gray hit an impressive .889 with eight kills on nine attempts while adding three total blocks.

Redshirt senior Bryanna Weiskircher put on a show after being honored pre-game, recording 30 assists, seven digs, three kills and assisting on two blocks. Weiskircher's fellow senior class teammates
Nia Reed and Taylor Leath combined for 11 kills while Bayleigh Hoffman came off the bench and provided critical time including a timely dig for the Nittany Lions.

The Nittany Lions held the Wildcats to just a .065 hitting percentage while hitting .415 themselves.

The Nittany Lions will close out the regular season with two home matches, hosting No. 3 Minnesota on Friday, November 23 at 8 p.m. for Ugly Sweater Night, and wrapped up the 2018 regular season with No. 7 Wisconsin at 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 24 as we White Out Rec Hall.
