UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete in two meets this weekend, with the majority of the team traveling to Princeton for a two-day meet Friday and Saturday, the Big Al Open in the Denunzio Pool, and select members competing in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge at Purdue Saturday and Sunday.
 
Big Al Open
The team will compete on Friday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., as well as Saturday at 10 a.m. Teams competing include Princeton, Lehigh, Duke and Northwestern.

Big Ten/ACC Challenge
The rosters have been set for the inaugural ACC/Big Ten Challenge, slated for Saturday and Sunday at Purdue's Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center in West Lafayette, Ind. Penn State will send three swimmers and one diver to represent the Big Ten at the two-day meet.
 
Senior team captain Ally McHugh and junior swimmer Maddie Hart were picked to represent the Penn State women, whilE sophomore swimmer Gabe Castano and senior diver Hector Garcia Boissier were chosen to represent the Penn State men for the Big Ten.
 
On Saturday, the meet will be streamed on the BTN Plus on BTN2Go and on FloSports/FlowSwimming.com beginning at 5 p.m. On Sunday, the meet can be seen live on BTN TV and BTN 2Go starting at 10 a.m. The BTN is also available on Fox Sports and the Fox Sports Go app.

Last Time Out for Penn State
The Penn State men and women last faced off against Virginia Tech and No. 10 Ohio State. The men's team was led by Garcia Boissier, who was named the Big Ten Men's Diver of the Week as he earned a final score of 366.30 in the 1-meter and 403.55 in the 3-meter. Garcia is undefeated in three meets this season. Senior Jack Crow also scored well for the divers, earning a place at NCAA Zones with a score of 344.55 in the 3-meter.
 
For the swimmers, Michael Daly continued his strong freshman year campaign with two top finishes, including first in the 400 IM (3:57.30) and second in the 200 back (1:48.47).  Castano also led the Nittany Lions, placing fourth in the 50 free (20.51).
 
The women were led by McHugh as she clinched first in the 500 free (4:49.95), 1000 free (9:55.97) and 400 IM (4:17.08). Additionally, Hart raced a season-best time of 2:00.51 in the 200 back and took first place in both the 100 and 200 fly with times of 55.43 and 2:02.82, respectively.

Next Up
Penn State divers will travel to Annapolis, Maryland for an all-diving meet against Navy next Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 15-17. The full team will compete again Nov. 29-Dec. 1 at the Tennessee Invitational in Knoxville, Tennessee.
