Nittany Lion Pair Advances in Consolation Competition

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State men's tennis finished up day two at the Oracle ITA Fall National Championships with a solid win.

The duo of Constant De La Bassetiere (Reims, France) and Gabriel Nemeth (Brasilia, Brazil) saw Washington's Kawika Lam and Enzo Sommer in the first round of consolation doubles. The Blue and White easily handled their competition, winning the match in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.

De La Bassetiere and Nemeth will go on to face No. 4 seed and Big Ten rival, Martin Joyce and Hunter Tubert of Ohio State in the next round.

"We continued where we left off last night," head coach Jeff Zinn said. "We talked about what we didn't do last night and tried to do a better job tonight under pressure situations. We have to carry that mentality into tomorrow."

Updates on the matches and all tournament information will be available on the tournament page.
