Men’s Gymnastics Set to Hold Open Intrasquad

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's gymnastics team will hold an open intrasquad for all fans to attend Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. inside the White Building.

Members of the 2019 Nittany Lions will compete against each other on all six events, giving fans a sneak peek of new routines that the preseason CGA preseason No. 7-ranked squad has been working on in practices.

Head coach Randy Jepson returns to the helm of the Penn State program for his 28th season, looking for the squad's fourth Big Ten title and nation-leading 13th National Championship. The 2019 Nittany Lion squad features three All-Americans and one national champion in Stephen Nedoroscik (Worcester, Mass.).

The Blue and White return Nedoroscik who won the 2017 and 2018 national championship on the pommel horse to become the 54th individual NCAA National Champion. Also returning this season for the Nittany Lions is junior Sam Zakutney (Ottawa, Ontario), was named a two-time All-American with top-eight finishes on parallel bars and high bar, and Greg Tamargo (Kennett Square, Pa.) who became an All-American on the still rings.

The Nittany Lions open the regular season on January 11-12 at the West Point Open.
