Daly and Harlow Swim Standout Performances

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Penn State men's swimming and diving team continued the Tennessee Invitational with senior Hector Garcia Boissier winning the 3-meter dive and two swimmers posting NCAA B-cut times and a pair of top five finishes Friday in the Jones Aquatic Center. Penn State had four swimmers make it to A-finals and five with NCAA B-cut times.
 
The Nittany Lions moved into fourth with a total of 410 points trailing No 12. Tennessee (848), Penn (480), Duke (193), and Duke (429). Both Denver and Carson-Newman follow Penn State with 404 and 119 points, respectively.
 
Garcia Boissier posted a season best score of 411.90 to take first place in the 3-meter. Fellow senior Jack Crow followed closely behind with a season-best 361.85 to claim fourth.

After becoming the fifth-fastest performer in Penn State history in the 200 IM Thursday, Hayden Harlow moved from the fourth to third-fastest performer in the 400 IM with an NCAA B-cut time of 3:49.09.
 
Freshman Michael Daly continued to strengthen his freshman campaign claiming third in the 400 IM with an NCAA B-cut time of 3:49.09. This time places Daly in second on the all-time top times for Penn State.
 
Sophomore Juliusz Gosieniecki made the A-final for the 100 butterfly taking sixth with a time of 48.21.
 
Both Nathan Schiffmann and Eben Krigger topped season-best times in the 200 freestyle. The men placed in the top-three within the B-final with Schiffmann claiming first (1:37.39) and Krigger coming in third (1:38.39).
