Penn State Tabbed No. 4 in B1G Men’s Gymnastics Preseason Poll

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Penn State men's gymnastics team, who was picked to finished No. 8 nationally last week, was picked to finish No. 4 in the Big Ten Preseason Coaches' Poll on Thursday afternoon as announced by the league office.

Penn State, who finished third at the 2018 Big Ten Championship meet, return three All-Americans in pommel horse National Champion Stephen Nedoroscik, Sam Zakutney, and Greg Tamargo. Nedoroscik and Brennan Pantazis both won individual titles at the 2018 championships with Nedoroscik securing the pommel title, and Pantazis winning the floor.

The Nittany Lions also saw Zakutney and Wyatt Tyndall named to the Big Ten Gymnasts to Watch List. Zakutney was a two-time All-American with top-eight finishes on the parallel bars and high bar at the NCAA Finals, while Tyndall Competed on all four events at the NCAA Championships, finishing third on the parallel bars in the qualifiers.

Penn State opens the 2019 season at the West Point Open hosted by Army on January 11-12.
