UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The NCAA announced the Palo Alto Regional Semifinal between the No. 8 seed Penn State women's volleyball team and the University of Washington will take place on ESPNU at 6 p.m. ET on Friday, December 7 in Maples Pavilion on the campus of Stanford University.
Penn State advanced to the regional semifinal with back-to-back sweeps of Howard, 3-0: 25-9, 25-9, 25-8, and Syracuse, 3-0: 25-13, 25-20, 25-16, in the sub-regional in University Park.
Washington advanced with a 3-1: 25-22, 25-17, 24-26, 25-22, win over St. Mary's in Omaha, Nebraska to advance to play host Creighton. The Huskies took down Creighton, 3-0: 25-19, 25-21, 25-23, on Saturday evening to advance.
The winner of the Penn State/Washington match will take on the winner of regional host Stanford and Washington State, who will play at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN3.
