UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Big Ten Network has released its broadcast schedule for the 2019 Women's Gymnastics season. Penn State's meets against Ohio State and Rutgers will be featured on the network. The Big Ten Championships, hosted by Penn State, will be broadcast on March 23.
The Nittany Lions host the Buckeyes on Saturday, January 19 to open the broadcast slate. The meet is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Rec Hall. Ohio State finished fifth in the Big Ten last year, going 12-7 and earning a No. 18 NCAA ranking.
Penn State travels to Rutgers on Saturday, February 9 for a 7 p.m. meet. It will be broadcast live on BTN2Go with the broadcast being shown on Big Ten Network on February 10 at 10 a.m. The Scarlet Knights finished ninth in the Big Ten last season.
The blue and white will host the Big Ten Championships on Saturday, March 23. The first session begins at noon with the second session at 5 p.m.
The Nittany Lions went 11-8 in Head Coach Sarah Brown's first season in Happy Valley. Penn State returns 13 members from the 2018 squad, including All-America sophomore Lauren Bridgens and All-Big Ten senior Sabrina Garcia.
