Penn State Basketball Teams Help Toys for Tots Spread Holiday Joy

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The holiday season is here and the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots organization in Centre County is partnering with the Penn State basketball teams to make it a special one for area children.

For more than 30 years, our community has generously donated thousands of toys for the annual Toys for Tots campaign to provide gifts for disadvantaged children who may not otherwise receive any presents during the holidays.

In exchange for a new toy donation, fans can purchase a $5 baseline ticket for either the Saturday, Dec. 8 men's game vs. Colgate or for the women's game vs. St. Bonaventure, Sunday, Dec. 9.

For season ticket holders or other fans who want to donate a new, unwrapped toy, collection boxes for the toys will be at all BJC gates at both the Nittany Lions' game with a 2 p.m. tipoff time on Saturday and the Lady Lions' game set for a 2 p.m. start on Sunday.

The Athletics Ticket Office at the BJC opens at 11 a.m. on both gamedays for fans who want to bring their toy donation and purchase tickets for either the Nittany Lions or Lady Lions games next weekend.
