Barratt Named HCA Division I Co-Player of the Month

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – The accolades continue to roll in for Penn State sophomore Evan Barratt (Bristol, Pa.) as earlier Thursday morning he was named the Hockey Commissioners' Association National Division I Co-Player of the Month along with Harvard's Adam Fox.

Barratt becomes the first player in program history to earn HCA Player of the Month laurels after leading the nation with 10 goals in nine games during the month of November, including a hat trick against Michigan and a program-record seven-game goal streak from Nov. 2-23.

The sophomore registered at least one point in all but one game throughout the month, with seven multi-point efforts. That included a school-record five straight multi-point games from Nov. 9-23. The sophomore added six assists to go along with his 10 goals for 16 points, which also topped the nation for the month.

Barratt was named the Big Ten's First Star of the Week on Nov. 20 after recording a five-point weekend against Michigan, including his first career hat trick on Nov. 17. Barratt scored at least one goal in eight of his nine games in November. He currently shares the national lead with 12 goals and 25 points this season.
