UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's volleyball team has received votes in the preseason edition of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I-II Men's Coaches Top 15 poll released Thursday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions are scheduled to play seven teams ranked in the top 15 this season, including top-ranked and defending national champion Long Beach State. Penn State opens the season on Jan. 5 at eighth-ranked Ohio State.

Penn State's first matchup against a ranked opponent at home will be against fifth-ranked BYU Jan. 18.

The Nittany Lions are coming off a 15-11 season with a 10-4 mark in EIVA play with 15 returners from last season's roster to go with five incoming freshmen.
