Men’s Swimming & Diving Caps Off Homestand

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State men's swimming and diving swept five events in a 151-104 win against Bloomsburg Saturday morning in the McCoy Natatorium for Senior Day.
 
Nittany Lion Relays
To start the meet off, the team of Liam Veregin, Brad Johnson, Matthew DiNunzio, and Will Roberson placed first in the 200 medley with a time of 1:30.77. To follow, Robbie Dickson, Nathaniel Bledsoe, Tomer Zamir, and Austin Wilson finished second in 1:34.43.
 
The team of Devon Chenot, Johnson, Roberson, and Veregin had the top time in the 200 free relay to conclude the meet (1:22.75).

Top Individual Performances
On the boards, seniors Hector Garcia-Boissier and Jack Crow led in the 3-meter with scores of 425.48 and 361.13, respectively.

The Nittany Lions started the individual races off with a sweep in the 1000 free led by Nathan Schiffmann (9:28.98), and he was followed by freshman William Lulek (9:52.06) and Carlos Vasquez (10:00.41). Schiffmann finished the meet with two first place finishes, including leading a sweep in the 200 fly (1:54.06). The 200 fly sweep was completed by Hayden Harlow (1:55.58) and Alec Peckman (1:56.45).
 
Gabe Castano also concluded with meet with a pair of first-place sweeps in the 200 free (1:41.07) and the 100 free (45.07). Following Castano in the 200 free was Harlow (1:41.21) and DiNunzio (1:43.13). In the sweep of the 100 free was Eben Krigger (47.06) and Austin Wilson (47.43). On top of a pair of second-place finishes, Harlow also completed the day with a top time in the 500 free (4:37.14).
 
Also leading a sweep was senior co-captain Robbie Dickson in the 200 back (1:52.25). Behind him was William Lulek (1:55.69) and Aidan Daly (1:56.61). Theo Perelli and Michael Daly both led the charge in the 200 breast with times of 2:10.19 and 2:12.27, respectively.
