Select Nittany Lion Fencers Head to Denver for Junior Olympic Even

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State fencing team is heading to Denver, Colo., for a Junior Olympic this weekend.

Freshman Ryan Griffiths (Fair Lawn, N.J.) will compete first on Friday, Feb. 15 at 1:00 p.m. in junior men's epee.

Sophomores Shane Iverson (Basking Ridge, N.J.) and Kelli Wozniak (Westerville, Ohio) will fence on Saturday, Feb. 16. Iverson will compete at 8:00 a.m. in the junior men's foil competition and Wozniak will fence in the junior women's saber at 1:00 p.m.

Following this weekend's action, the Penn State men's and women's fencing teams will travel to Philadelphia, Pa. on Sunday, Feb. 24 for their final dual meet of the season.
