Men’s Tennis Defeats William and Mary, 4-2

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.-- The Penn State men's tennis team handed William and Mary a 4-2 loss Friday evening in the Indoor Tennis Center. The Nittany Lions improve to 5-3 on the season and a perfect 2-0 at home, while the Tribe fall to 0-6.

Penn State's all time record against William and Mary improves to 9-5.

"You always play better at home, so that's good," said head coach Jeff Zinn. "Ben [Lieb] is playing unbelievable right now, he and Constant [De La Bassetiere] are really leading the team. In doubles, we took care of business, so I felt real good about that. Overall, we still have some spots we need to work on, but overall I'm pleased. Anytime you get a win against a good team, I'll take it."

"Always good to get the win at home," said associate head coach Paul Tobin. "William and Mary is coached well and we needed to take care of business. Still struggling in some spots that I thought we should win, but the season is long and we will have plenty of time to improve."
