Nedoroscik Wins Pommel Prelims at Winter Cup

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Penn State men's gymnastics junior Stephen Nedoroscik qualified for the Winter Finals in the pommel horse after taking first in the preliminary round competition. Alex Frack also competed at the Winter Cup in pommel, rings, vault, and parallel bars.

The two made their first appearances in the competition after Nedoroscik qualified at the US Championships and Frack qualified following the West Point Open.

Nedoroscik won the pommel horse with a 15.150, his second-best performance of the season. He won the prelim event by over a full point, as the second-place event finisher scored a 14.100.

Frack scored a 12.300 on the pommel horse for 28th, a 12.700 on the parallel bars for 29th, a 12.400 on the vault for 33rd, and 12.650 on the rings.

Nedoroscik will be in the finals on Sunday, February 17 at 10:15 p.m. ET.

Penn State's next team competition will be on Saturday, February 23 at 4 p.m. as they host Navy and Air Force for Military Appreciation Day.
