UNIVERSITY PARK, Pennsylvania – Penn State men's volleyball freshman Brett Wildman has been selected to the USA Volleyball 12-man roster that will compete in the 2019 World University Games in Napoli, Italy July 3-14.
Wildman is the only representative of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) on the team and is also the squad's youngest member as its only true freshman.
Wildman is one of four outside hitters along with Austin Matautia (UCLA), Raymond Barsemian (Concordia Irvine), and Julian Moses (Lewis).

Wildman has steadily seen increased playing time in his freshman season with the Nittany Lions. He started his first two career matches at home Feb. 15-16 against Harvard and Sacred Heart.
In 11 matches (35 sets) this season, Wildman ranks sixth on the team with 46 kills and fifth with 59.0 points.
Wildman becomes the 10th Nittany Lion in program history to be named to a World University Games roster and the first since 2015. The full list of Nittany Lions is below:
