COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Penn State men's gymnastics team fell, 409.00-413.25, at Ohio State on Saturday afternoon in Columbus, Ohio.

The Nittany Lions scored a season-high 69.7 on floor on Saturday, led by Sam Zakutney's 14.550, which tied his season high. Brennan Pantazis added a season-best 14.350, and Favian Valdez followed with his season-high of 13.850. Chris Sands scored a 13.550, and Wyatt Tyndall wrapped it up with a 13.400.

Penn State struggled on pommel horse, one of their strongest events this year, scoring just a 64.850. The bright spot was freshman Nick Mock who scored a career-high 14.000. Valdez followed with a 13.600, and Stephen Nedoroscik scored a 13.050. Michael Burns added a 12.850 score, and Jack Baldwin scored 11.350 on his routine.

A 68.350 on rings was led by Greg Tamargo, who's 14.200 tied for first in the meet. Isaac Hammett scored a 13.750 and Noah Roberson recorded a 13.550 on his routine. Brayden Borromeo scored a 13.450 and Parker Clayton tallied a 13.400.

Penn State scored a season-high 71.200 on vault, led by a 14.600 from Zakutney. His 14.600 was a season high for himself and the team. Pantazis added a 14.250 and Clayton followed with a 14.200. Borromeo tacked on a 14.100 on his vault, and Tyndall added a 14.050.

On parallel bars, Zakutney continued his strong meet with a 14.200. Valdez scored a 13.550 and Tyndall scored a 13.500 on his routine. Burns scored a 12.650 and Alex Frack wrapped up the rotation with a 12.600. Penn State scored a 66.500 on the event.

On high bar, the Nittany Lions scored a 68.400 with Zakutney scoring a 14.400. Burns added a 14.050, and Valdez scored a 13.600. Frack tacked on a 13.400, and Tyndall wrapped it up with a 12.950.

Penn State returns to action as they head to the Arizona State Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., on Saturday, March 9 at 7 p.m. ET.
