UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -  The Penn State track & field programs will participate in two meets Thursday through Saturday. The Nittany Lions will compete in the Florida Relays and the Raleigh Relays this week.

A portion of the team will travel to Gainesville, Florida to participate in the three-day Florida Relays hosted by the University of Florida.  Another portion of the team will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina for the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University.

LAST WEEK RECAP

The Nittany Lions opened team competition on March 22-23 at the Arizona State Invitational. 

Morgan Shigo, Payden Montana, Madison Smith, and Michael Biddle each won their respective field events.  Shigo continued his successful spring campaign by winning the men's hammer throw.  Shigo's currently ranks first in the Big Ten and third nationally in the event.  Payden Montana performance in the women's shot put has her ranked first in the Big Ten and second in the country.  Montana also ranks in the top 50 in the women's discus throw.  Madison Smith and Michael Biddle gave the Nittany Lions a clean sweep in the javelin events at the Arizona State Invitational.

William Henderson (men's long jump), Elizabeth Chikotas (women's 3000m), Colin Abert (men's 3000m) and Antoinette Bradley (women's 400m hurdles) also collected wins in their track events at the Arizona State Invitational.

The Nittany Lions currently have five student-athletes who rank in the top-25 in the NCAA in each of their respective events.
