UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Former Nittany Lion goalkeeper, Erin McLeod, has been named to the Canada Soccer Women's National Team roster for its friendly against England April 5.

McLeod spent two seasons as a Nittany Lion, compiling the best winning percentage in school history (.921). The Nittany Lions won back-to-back Big Ten titles in 2004 and 2005 with two NCAA tournament appearances, including an appearance in the College Cup in 2005.

McLeod was a first team All-American in 2005 and a third team All-American in 2004 for Penn State.

McLeod has been a staple on the Canada Soccer Women's National Team since 2002. She has appeared in 117 games with 113 career starts. She is just the 12th player to make 100 career appearances for Canada with her 100th appearance coming in November of 2014.

McLeod won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games with Canada.

McLeod was the Nittany Lions goalkeeper prior to Alyssa Naeher, who took over the starting role as a freshman in 2006.  Naeher was recently named to the United States Women's National Team roster last week.
