Traffic and Parking Advisory for Fans Attending Saturday’s Baseball and Softball Games

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Penn State fans planning to attend Saturday's home softball and baseball games following the Blue-White Game are encouraged to arrive on campus earlier than normal in order to assist traffic flow and parking.

Fans attending the softball and baseball games Saturday are advised to arrive from 1:00-4:30 p.m. The Blue-White Game presented by Highmark will kick at 3 p.m. in Beaver Stadium, with baseball's doubleheader against Nebraska also starting at 3 p.m. and softball's doubleheader against Rutgers beginning at 5 p.m.

By 5 p.m., many streets around Nittany Lion Softball Park and Medlar Field at Lubrano Park will be turned into one-way exits for football traffic.

Softball fans and staff with 2019 Purple Reserved Parking Permits for the Orange-B lot just North of Nittany Lion Softball Park should access the parking area via Park Avenue Eastbound from Atherton Street to be in the normal traffic pattern flow for football.  Fans without the reserved parking spot should park in the grass parking just past the outfield fence between NLSP and the Intramural Building – also traveling Eastbound on Park Avenue from Atherton Street.

All fans are strongly advised to leave plenty of extra time to arrive to the ballpark.  Parking lots will open at 8 a.m. and gates will open at 3:30 p.m. for the 5 p.m. softball game.

Baseball is at home against Nebraska for a series-concluding doubleheader with a first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m. Fans are encouraged to access the Jordan East parking lot by heading Northbound on Porter Road and turning into lots south of Beaver Stadium prior to 4:30 p.m. Baseball fans are advised to allow plenty of time to get to the field and note that many roads, including Porter Road, will be turned into a one-way exit for football traffic. Gates at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park will open at 2 p.m.
