LEWISBURG, Pa. – Members of the Penn State track & field program posted 35 top-10 finishes in the two-day Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell Saturday-Sunday, April 13-14.  Four Nittany Lions picked up victories on the second day of competition.

RECAP
Freshman Breana Gambrell set a season- and personal-best distance in the women's long jump event. On Gambrell's final attempt, she turned in her top distance at 20-3.75 (6.19m), just 2.5 inches shy of Bucknell's facility record set in 2007.

Junior Ben Peterson won his second-straight shot put event Sunday with a top throw of 58-9.25 (17.91m).  With his first attempt, Peterson secured the best distance at 17.76m and then on his fourth attempted added .15m for his final mark.

A personal-best distance of 193-8 (59.05m) on her final throw in the women's hammer event propelled freshman Gianna Rao to a first-place finish Sunday.  Despite a heavy rain, Rao conquered the elements and added to her career marks.

The Nittany Lions earned a fourth podium finish as junior Luke Grodeska set his personal-best in the men's hammer throw with his final throw of 212-4 (64.73m).  For Grodeska, it was his second top-10 mark of the weekend.

Payden Montana had another solid showing in the women's shot put. Montana finished second in the event with a top throw of 49-9 (15.07m).

In the men's high jump, Austin Campbell finished third in the event. Campbell's height of 6-8.25 (2.04m) was achieved on his second jump at that height. Junior Spencer Hay also turned in a top-10 effort at 6-4.25 (1.94m).
