Arceri Earns B1G Specialist of the Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State men's lacrosse junior Gerard Arceri earned his 11th Big Ten Specialist of the Week honor of his career on Tuesday afternoon after his impressive performance in the Nittany Lions' 17-7 win at Michigan on Saturday.

Arceri also earned a spot on the USILA Team of the Week.

Arceri was a monster at the 'x' for the Blue & White as the junior face-off specialist won 22 of 27 face-off attempts, the most wins in Big Ten play by a Nittany Lion. Offensively, he added a goal as well.

He also scooped up a career-best 21 ground balls. His 21 ground balls tie for 7th most in NCAA history, and ties for third most in an NCAA DI game this season. He is now as 354 career ground balls, which is second all-time at Penn State.

This is Arceri's second Big Ten Specialist of the Week honor of the season, and the 11th of his career.

Arceri and the rest of the Nittany Lions host No. 16 Johns Hopkins on Sunday afternoon at 12 p.m. ET in Panzer Stadium. The game will be on ESPNU.
