UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Following the final week of the regular season, junior Nick Cardile picked up the final Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor for his performance in the Nittany Lions' 14-13 win over No. 20 Rutgers to seal the 5-0 Big Ten record.
Cardile gobbled up four ground balls and had one caused turnover to help anchor the Nittany Lion defense.
This marks Cardile's second honor of the season, and the third of his career.
Cardile and the rest of the Nittany Lions head to the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday, May 2 to take on the No. 4 seed Rutgers at 5 p.m. Rutgers is the host of the tournament based on predetermined location. The tournament central page and tickets available here: https://gopsu.info/B1GMLAXTourney
