RFID Season Ticket Card FAQ

Why is Penn State Athletics transitioning to season ticket cards?
RFID technology provides a more secure ticketing experience.  RFID season ticket cards also provide:

  • Reduced risk of lost, stolen or counterfeit tickets
  • Streamlined entry into the venue

Which sports will utilize season ticket cards for the 2019-20 season?
Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s Hockey, Women’s Volleyball and Wrestling.  Suite holders for Men’s and Women’s Basketball, as well as Men’s Hockey will receive printed tickets for the 2019-20 season.

How many season ticket cards will I be issued?
Season ticket holders for any of the five sports listed above will receive one season ticket card for every season ticket in their account. For example, a season ticket holder with four season tickets will receive four season ticket cards for that respective sport. Each card will be used for entry to all regular season home contests throughout the 2019-20 season.

How will I scan into the venue on gameday?
It’s really easy!  Simply present your season ticket card to the ticket scanning staff on gameday.

If I prefer digital ticketing, can I use my mobile device to enter the venue instead of my season ticket card?
Yes, we encourage you to utilize digital ticketing if that is your preferred entry method.

Will single game ticket purchases be on my season ticket card?
No, only your season tickets will be loaded onto your season ticket card.  Digital ticketing will be the primary delivery method for all single game purchases.  Fans who do not have access to a smartphone can have their tickets printed at will call on game day.  Photo ID is required for will call pick up, and tickets will only be printed for the name on the Penn State Athletics account.

What if I lose my season ticket card?
Please call 1-800-NITTANY.  You can utilize digital ticketing, or you can have your tickets printed on game day.  Printed tickets will not be mailed and will only be available for in-person pickup.  Regardless of your alternative delivery method, please contact 1-800-NITTANY so that we can deactivate your season ticket card and update your account accordingly.

Can I still manage my season tickets on my season ticket card?
Yes, you still have the ability to transfer or post your tickets for sale via your Penn State Account Manager.  Step-by-step instructions can be found at www.GoPSUsports.com/ticketmanagement. If you need assistance, please call 1-800-NITTANY between the hours of 8a.m. – 5p.m., Monday through Friday.

Will my season ticket card be valid for entry if I have transferred or resold my ticket(s)?
No. As is the case for all tickets, once a ticket is no longer active in your account, it becomes invalid.  This only applies to the tickets that have been transferred or resold for that particular event.
