UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – In order to accommodate a television broadcast, the Penn State men's ice hockey team has announced a date change for its Big Ten opener against the Wisconsin Badgers. The series originally scheduled for November 1-2 has been moved to Thursday, October 31 and Friday, November 1 with times to be announced later.
Fans who purchased a single-game or resale ticket for Saturday's contest will be able to use that ticket for Thursday night while Friday's contest remains unchanged. If fans who purchased tickets for Saturday's game cannot attend on Thursday and purchased through Penn State, they should call 1-800-NITTANY. Fans who purchased tickets for Saturday's game through Ticketmaster will be receiving communication from Ticketmaster and can call them with questions or concerns.
Season tickets will not be affected as the change has been made internally to the RFID cards. Season ticket holders with premium parking should use their November 2nd game date parking pass for the now Thursday, October 31 game. Suite holders are being reached out to directly.
The annual Teddy Bear Toss game, presented by the Penn State Bookstore, that had previously been announced as Saturday, November 2 will be moved to Friday, November 1. With a game now on Halloween night, there will be trick-or-treating on the concourse pre-game for all fans in attendance Thursday, October 31.
For fans who do not already have tickets and are looking to attend either game, tickets are still available at ticketmaster.com.
