Men's Hockey Announces TV Schedule and Start Times For Most 2019-20 Contests

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 9/13 Penn State men's ice hockey team will be featured on national television at least seven times during the 2019-20 regular season with an additional three games on regional networks as the Nittany Lions, in conjunction with the Big Ten, announced TV information and puck drop times for most of its regular season contests on Friday morning.

As announced earlier this week, Penn State will open the regular season next Friday with a 7 p.m. contest against Sacred Heart before concluding the series at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The following weekend features a pair of 7 p.m. games against Alaska on October 17-18.

Robert Morris comes to town for a single contest on Friday, October 25 at 7 p.m. before the Nittany Lions open Big Ten play against the Wisconsin Badgers on Thursday, October 31 and Friday, November 1 with puck drop slated for 7 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively. Both of those games will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Penn State wraps up its early season home stretch with a pair of contests against Michigan State with puck drop slated for 7 p.m. on Friday, November 8. The series finale on Saturday will remain TBD until a kick time for the Nittany Lion football game at Minnesota is announced.

PSU hits the road for the first time in 2019 when they travel to Minnesota on November 15-16 for a pair of 8 p.m. ET contests, which will be available on Fox Sports North-Plus and streamed on BTN-Plus.

The Nittany Lions return home the following week to battle the Ohio State Buckeyes with a Friday puck drop slated for 7 p.m. while Saturday's start time will remain TBD until the kick time for the Penn State-Ohio State football game in Columbus is announced.

Penn State is then on the road for Thanksgiving weekend as it travels east to battle Merrimack on Friday, November 29 at 7 p.m. before concluding the trip at UMass-Lowell the following evening at 6 p.m.

The Nittany Lions remain on the road for the remainder of the first semester with trips to Ann Arbor and South Bend. Penn State will battle Michigan on Friday, December 6 with that contest slated for 8:30 p.m. on FS1 before a 7:30 p.m. puck drop the following evening.

The following weekend against the Irish on December 13-14, puck drop is slated for 7 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively. Television and streaming information for that series will be announced at a later date.

Following the holiday break, PSU opens the second semester hosting Niagara on January 3-4 with times set for 7 p.m. on Friday and 6 p.m. on Saturday before traveling to Robert Morris for a single contest on Saturday, January 11 at PPG Paints Arena with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.

The Nittany Lions then battle Michigan at home for a pair of games on January 17-18 with times set for 7 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively, before having at least one TV game in four of the final five weeks of the season.

Penn State hits the road the following weekend for a series in East Lansing with a 7 p.m. puck drop on Friday, January 24 before concluding the series on BTN at 6 p.m. on Saturday night. The Nittany Lions then welcome Notre Dame to town with a 6 p.m. puck drop on BTN the following Friday and conclude the season series with the Irish on Saturday, February 1 at 6 p.m.

The Nittany Lions are then on the road for back-to-back weekends starting in Columbus against Ohio State on February 7-8 with start times set for 7 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively, before heading to Wisconsin for a TBD puck drop on Friday, February 14 and a 7 p.m. start the following night on Fox Sports Wisconsin.

Penn State then closes the regular season at home against Minnesota on February 21-22 with each game airing on BTN. Friday's contest remains TBD with Saturday's puck drop slated for 6:30 p.m.

All games on BTN or FS1 are also available for streaming on the Fox Sports App while games that are broadcast by FOX Sports Regional Networks can be streamed live via the web, smartphones, tablets and connected devices on the FOX Sports GO app for authenticated subscribers to BTN, or on BTN-Plus. All other games this season not being televised will be available for streaming on BTN-Plus.
