University Park, Pa. – Penn State men's tennis will travel to Charlottesville, Va. for the second time this fall to compete in the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships, Oct. 17-21. The team will travel seven individual singles players as well as three doubles pairs to compete.
The Nittany Lions enter the tournament as the second-ranked team overall with UVA, Virginia Tech, Old Dominion and VCU rounding out the top-five.
Last fall the Blue and White made history at the tournament with the pair of Gabriel Nemeth and Constant De La Bassetiere winning the doubles draw for this first time in program history. The duo then secured their place at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, where they won the doubles backdraw.
"We are looking forward to finally getting the guys out of Happy Valley and on the court competing," associate head coach Paul Tobin said. "It's hard to stay motivated this time of the year unless we are out there competing. It's important that these guys show us their game, they have been working hard."
