Women’s Rugby Set for Road Doubleheader

Coming off of a loss in their last match, the Penn State women's rugby team (3-3, 2-0 B1G) look to get back into winning form on the road Saturday, taking on both Big Ten foe Michigan State and Mid-South opponent Lindenwood University.

For the Nittany Lions, it's the first meeting against the Spartans since September 2018, when the blue and white cruised to a 56-10 win.

Against Lindenwood, the last meeting between the two teams was in October 2018, when LU emerged victorious 68-0; it was the only game in the 2018-19 season in which the Nittany Lions were shutout.

Lindenwood will be the final non-conference opponent for Penn State, as the Nittany Lions will then return to State College to face both Indiana and Michigan respectively in their final two weeks of the fall season.

"We are looking forward to our last travel weekend, and the challenges that these two different opponents will bring to the table," said coach Kate Daley. "I'm hoping the lessons we learned in our last game against Army will allow us to bounce back in our matches on Saturday."

Kickoffs are scheduled for 9AM and 3PM in East Lansing, MI and Elkhart, IN respectively.
