UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. –The Penn State Women's Tennis team will resume fall tournament play as the Nittany Lions prepare to travel to Blacksburg, Va. for the ITA Regionals hosted by Virginia Tech. The tournament will begin on Friday, Oct. 25 and conclude on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
The Nittany Lions will be represented by junior Gabby O'Gorman (Gunnedah, N.S. Wales, Australia), sophomore Olivia Ryan (Victoria, Australia), junior Olivia Rohrbacher (Sandusky, Ohio), junior Hanna Wikberg (Stockholm, Sweden), senior Samantha Smith (Cary, N.C.), and junior Frederikke Svarre (Copenhagen, Denmark).
Penn State is playing in its first tournament following a two-week break. The Nittany Lions were last seen at the Northwestern Wildcat Invite in Evanston, Ill., where Rohrbacher led the squad with two singles wins, while the tandem of Smith/Wikberg racked up a pair of doubles victories.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the team will look forward to a trip to Lexington, Ky. for the Kentucky Invite.
