BLACKSBURG,Va. –Penn State Women's Tennis concluded the third day of competition at the ITA Regionals hosted by Virginia Tech. The tournament will continue to run through Tuesday, Oct. 29.
Singles
Junior Olivia Rohrbacher (Sandusky, Ohio) rebounded from her defeat with a victory in her consolation match over St. Joseph's Amanda Nava, 6-2, 6-3.
In the singles Round of 32, junior Gabby O'Gorman (Gunnedah, N. S. Wales, Australia) defeated Navy senior Kaylah Hodge by a walkover. Junior Frederikke Svarre lost her matchup against Maryland freshman Ayana Akli, 6-2, 6-3.
In the Round of 16, O'Gorman was victorious over Virginia senior Chloe Gullickson in a three-set, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 match.
O'Gorman will look to continue her run against Virginia freshman Natasha Subhash in the quarterfinals on Monday.
