UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Women's Tennis team will hit the road again as the Nittany Lions travel to Lexington, Ky. for the Kentucky Invitational. The tournament will begin on Friday, Nov. 1 and finish on Sunday, Nov. 3.
The Nittany Lions will be represented by sophomore Gracey Hirsch (Cincinnati, Ohio), junior Gabby O'Gorman (Gunnedah, N.S. Wales, Australia), junior Olivia Rohrbacher (Sandusky, Ohio), sophomore Olivia Ryan (Victoria, Australia), senior Samantha Smith (Cary, N.C.), and junior Frederikke Svarre (Copenhagen, Denmark), and sophomore Sydney Weinberg (Winchester, Mass.).
Penn State is coming off of a trip to Blacksburg, Va. where they competed in the ITA Regionals. The singles bracket saw junior Gabby O'Gorman (Gunnedah, N.S. Wales, Australia) advance to the quarterfinals before being defeated by eventual champion Natasha Subhash of Virginia. In doubles, O'Gorman and Rohrbacher advanced to the round of 16 before being eliminated by Marshall's duo of Dankanych/Smith.
The Kentucky Invite will conclude the fall season. The Nittany Lions will continue preparation for the spring season.
