EVANSTON, Ill. –The Penn State Women's Tennis team wrapped up the fourth tournament of the fall slate on Sunday. The Nittany Lions have two tournaments remaining in the fall schedule.
Singles
In the A draw, senior Samantha Smith (Cary, N.C.) was victorious over Purdue's Wolf Gasparin, who withdrew due to injury.
The B draw saw sophomore Olivia Ryan (Victoria, Australia) drop her matchup to Ana Tkachenko of Kentucky, 6-2, 6-4.
In the E draw, junior Hanna Wikberg (Stockholm, Sweden) defeated UIC's Georgia Guillin, who withdrew due to injury.
Junior Olivia Rohrbacher (Sandusky, Ohio) shined in the G draw as she defeated Melani Davi of Miami (OH) in a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 match.
Looking ahead, the Nittany Lions will get a chance to rest up after playing in four tournaments in three weeks as they await to compete at the ITA Regionals in Blacksburg, Va. from Oct. 25-29.
