Penn State and Rutgers to Kick at 3:30 p.m.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 9-ranked Nittany Lions close out the regular season in Beaver Stadium against Rutgers on Senior Day in a game that will kick at 3:30 p.m. on BTN, it was announced today. The game will also be available on the Penn State Sports Network (2 p.m. airtime) and GoPSUsports.com.
 
Penn State is 27-2 all-time against Rutgers, including a 15-2 mark in home games. The last time the teams met, Penn State posted a 20-7 win in Piscataway thanks in part to two touchdown receptions by Pat Freiermuth and three takeaways by the Nittany Lion defense. KJ Hamler had five catches for 71 yards, while Freiermuth finished with 47 yards and two scores. Cornerback John Reid and safety Garrett Taylor each tallied interceptions and defensive end Daniel Joseph recovered a fumble that was forced by defensive tackle Robert Windsor. The Nittany Lions totaled 11.0 tackles for loss, led by 2.5 TFL and a sack by defensive end Shareef Miller, and forced three turnovers on downs, including one at the 2-yard line.
 
The Nittany Lions visit No. 2 Ohio State Saturday at noon on FOX.
