UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is pleased to announce it will again participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day of impact that will be held on Tuesday, December 3.
Created in 2012, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, which includes holiday and end-of-year giving.
IMPACT 31
In April 2019, Penn State Athletics launched the Impact 31 program, designed to enhance the Levi Lamb Fund which is critical to the success of each of our 31 varsity teams. Contributions to the Levi Lamb Fund go directly to the greatest needs of Penn State Athletics, including the awarding scholarships to student-athletes for all of Penn State's 31 varsity sports and programs that enhance their well-being and ability to compete at an elite level.
Penn State Athletics is challenging alumni and fans to make a gift to the Levi Lamb Fund on #GivingTuesday to help create the very best conditions for academic and athletic success for Nittany Lion student-athletes. Those who make a gift on Dec. 3 will receive Nittany Lion Club benefits based on donation level. Visit our Giving Tuesday page or text IMPACT31 to 91999 to participate.
Fans who wish to help advance the efforts of #GivingTuesday can join our team as a champion and tell the world why you support us! With your help our #GivingTuesday can be a success! Visit our Giving Tuesday page to sign up.
Gifts made by Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD donors) of any amount will result in an additional $100 to the Levi Lamb Fund.
