Raisanen Receives Big Ten Weekly Swimming Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. –  Penn State's Daniel Raisanen was named Big Ten Men's Swimming and Diving Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.

After tallying a podium finish at the Big Al Invitational at Princeton this weekend, Raisanen secured his second Big Ten accolade of his freshman year. Raisanen finished second in the 200 breaststroke with an NCAA B-Cut and career-best time of 1:58.21
 
Raisanen was last named athlete of the week on Oct. 16, 2019 after his stellar performance against West Virginia earlier this season. 

The Penn State divers will head to Buffalo, N.Y. for the three-day Buffalo Diving Invitational from Jan. 10 – Jan 12. The full men's swimming and diving team will head to Bloomsburg, P.A. on January 18 for their first meet of the new year.
