First Pitch Dinner and Silent Auction Set for Jan. 25

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State baseball's eighth annual First Pitch Dinner and Silent Auction will be held Saturday, Jan. 25 at The Wyndham Garden State College Hotel, Penn State head coach Rob Cooper announced Wednesday.
 
The event will include dinner, a silent auction, introduction of the 2020 Penn State baseball team and "Honoring the Decades," recognizing members of the 1970,1980,1990, 2000 and 2010 Penn State baseball teams with a special recognition of the 2000 NCAA Regional Champions. Doors will open for attendees at 6:30 p.m. with a cash bar and auction items on display and the program and dinner will begin at 7 p.m.

Alumni, fans and friends of the Penn State baseball program can reserve their seats by printing, filling out and mailing the registration form on GoPSUsports.com. The event is free for Varsity 'S' Club-member baseball alums, $40 per person for adults and $20 for children ages 3 to 12. The deadline to register is Jan. 17.
 
The silent auction is set to include items ranging from Penn State memorabilia to getaways.
 
Sponsorship opportunities are also available, even for those unable to attend.

  • Penn State player sponsorships are available for $50 to help cover the costs of complimentary admissions for team members.
  • VIP tables for 10 can be purchased for $1,000, which includes recognition during the banquet, invitation to the VIP Social, opportunity to meet the current team, photos, autographs and banquet recognition.

Proceeds will benefit Penn State baseball and the team will donate 20 percent of funds raised at during the silent auction to THON, a student-run philanthropy committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer.
