UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's soccer team and head coach Jeff Cook announced its 2019 spring slate on Tuesday, which includes six total games and five on the University Park campus.
"We are very excited to have put together such a competitive spring schedule," said head coach Jeff Cook. "Spring semester practices have been going very well and I know that our players are eager to get out on the field and compete against some outstanding opponents. These games represent a great opportunity for our current squad to demonstrate their ability to help lead our Penn State men's soccer program forward."
The Nittany Lions will open the non-traditional season on Saturday, Feb. 23 against Temple at 3:15 p.m. in Holuba Hall. The team will then travel to Annapolis, Md., the following weekend for the only road match-up against Navy on Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m.
Penn State will close the 2019 spring season with four-straight home games. The Nittany Lions will host Seton Hall on Saturday, March 23 at 2:30 p.m., LaSalle on Saturday, March 30 at 4 p.m., and SIGMA, a Canadian Academy, on Saturday, April 6 at 4 p.m. All three of those games are scheduled to be played in Holuba Hall.
Finally, the Nittany Lions will conclude the season with a home match against Lock Haven on Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. at Jeffrey Field.
