Big Ten Announces Olympic Sports Fall TV Schedule

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Penn State field hockey, men's and women's soccer, and women's volleyball teams are set to be featured in national television broadcasts 17 times during the regular season, as announced by the Big Ten Conference Thursday.

Penn State teams can be seen on the Big Ten Network (BTN), FS1, ESPN and ESPNU throughout 2019 with a complete breakdown below.

Penn State field hockey under head coach Char Morett-Curtiss will have one contest televised on BTN. The Nittany Lions will host Rutgers on Nov. 3 at the Penn State Field Hockey Complex to close out the regular season.

Penn State is also the host of the 2019 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament. The BTN coverage schedule is still being determined and will be announced at a later date.

Penn State men's soccer will see three national television matches in 2019 after having just one in 2018. All three games are against current top-25 opponents, including defending national champion Maryland on Oct. 29.

Penn State women's soccer sees three conference games on BTN in 2019, plus one on ESPNU. In 2018, the Nittany Lions twice defeated Michigan, once in the regular season and once in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals, while also defeating Rutgers and Indiana. Penn State and Wisconsin did not meet last season.

Penn State women's volleyball will be featured on BTN at least eight times in the regular season and will have its match at Michigan State air on ESPN on Oct. 20. Six of the Nittany Lions' BTN matches will be played at Rec Hall, including a matchup with No. 1 Stanford, the defending national champions, on Sept. 13. The Nittany Lions close the season with a pair of home matches on BTN when they host conference foes Wisconsin (Nov. 29) and Minnesota (Nov. 30).

All 14 Big Ten schools will be featured during the conference's fall sports television schedule, with BTN and FS1 broadcasts also streamed through the BTN Plus digital platform and the Fox Sports Go mobile app. Additional Big Ten fall sports contests may be televised on BTN Plus and via the BTN Plus mobile app. Check each sports' individual schedule pages for those listings.
