UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State transportation services has issued a parking advisory for fans attending 2020 Penn State men's and women's gymnastics meets.
Due to construction of the new West Campus Parking Deck, currently underway, approximately 275 Red A parking spaces have been permanently closed, significantly reducing the number of Red A spaces available for Penn State gymnastics events this season.
Fans are encouraged to park in the Nittany Parking Deck. Intercollegiate Athletics and Transportation Services offers a period of free parking for Men's and Women's Gymnastics fans that begins approximately 1.5 hours before the meet and ends approximately 1.5 hours after the meet. Any additional time before or after the meet will be a standard $1 per hour parking fee.
For fans who would prefer a closer parking option if Red A and Nittany Deck are full, Transportation Services offers an evening/weekend parking permit for $6 per month that provides access to most faculty/staff parking areas across campus on weekdays after 4 p.m. and all day on Saturday and Sunday. This permit would allow gymnastics fans to park at several areas located close to Rec Hall, including Green B, Brown E, Yellow E and Brown A. Visit the Transportation Services website to learn more.
For more information on Penn State gymnastics parking or the evening/weekend parking permit program, please email parking@psu.edu or call 814-865-1436.
