BUFFALO, N.Y. – Penn State diving concluded its two-day meet against Buffalo with Christina Crowell setting a Penn State women's record and Jonah Cey placing first to lead the Nittany Lions in the platform dive.
Top Dives
Captain and senior Crowell had a career day on day two when she broke the Penn State women's diving record in the Platform event with a score of 232.25. Her record score also earned her the Platform win. Crowell also performed well on day one, placing second in the 1-meter (297.90).
Cey improved on his day one dives by placing first in the Platform with a score of 275.80. Cey placed second in the 3-meter on day one (324.10).
Freshman Kevin Sullivan also had a solid day with a second-place score in the Platform (213.00) after his win and personal best in the 3-meter (334.60) on day one.
Sophomore transfer Sierra Shurts impressed on the Platform dive as well, placing third and scoring 216.80 points
Next Up
The Penn State divers will head to Maryland to face off against Navy from Friday, January 17 to Sunday, January 19, and Penn State swimming will host Villanova at McCoy Natatorium on Friday, January 31.
