Kneese Named Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Specialist of the Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State's Colby Kneese was named the Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Specialist of the Week on Tuesday. The senior goalie earned the award after making 16 saves against then-No. 3 Yale on Saturday.

Kneese made his season-high 16 saves on 28 chances. He ranks second in the Big Ten in goals against average at 8.38.

Kneese now has 642 saves during his career. He passed Vin Tedesco (1962-64) for sixth on the program's all-time list during the game against Yale and needs just 16 more to pass J.J. Pearl (1989-92) for fifth.

Penn State is ranked second in the nation in the USILA Coaches Poll and has another big non-conference matchup when it travels to play No. 6 Penn on Saturday at noon.
