No. 8 Men's Gymnastics Set for Showdown at No. 4 Nebraska Saturday on BTN

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The eighth-ranked Penn State men's gymnastics team is on the road Saturday for a key Big Ten meet with No. 4 Nebraska at the Devaney Center. The meet is scheduled for 6 p.m. (ET) and will air live on the Big Ten Network.

Penn State is a perfect 10-0 overall and 1-0 in the Big Ten and will compete as a team for the first time since beating William & Mary on Feb. 15. Nebraska is 6-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

SERIES HISTORY
• Penn State leads 6-5 in a series that began in 1983.
• The Lions won last year's meeting 409.700-395.000 at Rec Hall. Sam Zakutney won on floor, parallel bars and high bar. Stephen Nedoroscik took first on pommel horse, while Isaac Hammett won on rings.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Penn State is ranked eighth with a three-score average of 404.350, while Nebraska is fourth at 405.600.

LAST TIME OUT
• Two Penn State gymnasts competed last weekend with Brennan Pantazis going to the Winter Cup in Las Vegas and Nedoroscik to the Melbourne World Cup. Pantazis qualified for the prestigious Winter Cup with his performance at the West Point Open earlier this season. Nedoroscik won pommel horse at the Melbourne World Cup and received a spot on the U.S. National Team via petition despite not attending the Winter Cup.

SCOUTING NEBRASKA
• Nebraska is 6-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big Ten following 409.150-398.150 win over Army West Point in its most recent meet. The Cornhuskers have a win over Iowa and a loss to Illinois in Big Ten meets.
• The Huskers have been much better at home this season, averaging 409.5 in two meets compared to 401.7 in two away meets.
• Nebraska ranks third in the nation on parallel bars with a three-score average of 68.633.

A LOOK AT THE BIG TEN STANDINGS
Penn State, Michigan and Minnesota are all tied for first at 1-0 in the Big Ten standings. Illinois and Nebraska are each 1-1, Iowa is 0-1, and Ohio State is 0-2.
