Five From Women's Golf Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -Earlier Monday afternoon, five student-athletes from the Penn State women's golf team were honored as All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). The five honorees tie a program high.

Recent graduates Maddy Herr (New Hope, Pa.) and Megan McLean (Lebanon, N.J.) along with junior Olivia Zambruno (Mt. Pleasant, Pa.), sophomore Sarah Willis (Eaton, Ohio) and freshman Mathilde Delavallade (Royan, France) each received this prestigious honor.

For Herr and Willis this is the second time they have earned this distinction with Herr being recognized in 2017-18 and Willis just last season. McLean, Zambruno and Delavallade each earn their first WGCA All-American Scholar honor.

To be selected to the All-American Scholar Team one must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, this is one of the most stringent criteria in all of college athletics. This year 1,401 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor.
