COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) named the Penn State men's and women's swimming and diving teams to its Scholar All-America team for the 2020 spring semester Tuesday.
The Nittany Lion women have now received Scholar All-America recognition for 18 consecutive semesters, while the men have been honored following their last eight.
To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a GPA of 3.00 or higher over the fall semester.
A total of 461 institutions were honored by the CSCAA this semester, but team grade point averages were not released as usual due to changes in grading systems at many institutions related to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Individual CSCAA Scholar All-Americans will be announced next week.
