Men’s Soccer Receives Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Penn State men's soccer team under head coach Jeff Cook was recognized as a 2019-20 Team Academic Award winner as announced by the United Soccer Coaches.

The Nittany Lions recorded a cumulative 3.459 grade point average during the 2019-20 academic year. Eleven student-athletes earned Academic All-Big Ten honorees and six were named Big Ten Distinguished Scholars.

This is the second-straight Team Academic Award under Cook's tutelage and the 10th all-time for the men's program.

College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2019-20 academic year.

The Penn State women's soccer team was also recognized for such award.
