Penn State Hockey Announces B1G Tournament Ticket Information

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – For the third-consecutive season the Big Ten Hockey Tournament will be returning to campus arenas in 2020. Penn State hockey season ticket holders now have the right-of-first-refusal on their seats for the entirety of the tournament should the Nittany Lions host.

Following a successful fall semester, the Penn State men's ice hockey team currently sits atop the Big Ten standings with an 8-4-0-0 record and 24 points at the halfway point of conference action.

The Nittany Lions are in a prime position to play postseason games at Pegula Ice Arena as the top-four seeds in the tournament will host at least one game this coming March. The No. 1 overall seed receives a first-round bye and will host the lowest remaining seed in a single-game semifinal on March 14 with the Championship being played at the site of the highest remaining seed the following Saturday. Seeds 2-4 will host the fifth, sixth and seventh seeds, respectively, in a best-of-three quarterfinal series on March 6-8.

Men's hockey season ticket holders can now log in to Account Manager to secure their season ticket location for all five potential home games in the Big Ten Tournament.  The deadline for season ticket holders to secure their season ticket location is Friday, February 14, 2020.  Fans are highly encouraged to select the "Pay as We Play" payment plan option when purchasing their tickets.  By selecting the "Pay as We Play" payment plan, fan's credit cards will not be charged until it has been confirmed Penn State will host games during the Big Ten Tournament.  Credit cards being used for the "Pay as We Play" payment plan must have an expiration date of March 2020 or later.

Should Penn State host the Quarterfinals (best of 3 series, Mar. 6 – 8) credit cards will initially be charged for the first two games of the series.  Should the series require the third game be played, credit cards will be charged immediately following completion of the second game on March 7.  If Penn State were to host the Semifinal game (March 14) and / or the Big Ten Championship (March 21) credit cards would be charged once it has been confirmed the game(s) will be played at Pegula Ice Arena.

Pricing for the Big Ten Tournament will remain consistent to regular season per game pricing for men's hockey season ticket holders.  A seating chart with pricing information can be found HERE.

Premium season ticket holders (suite, club, loge, on-the-glass) who secure their tickets during the right of first refusal period will receive premium parking at no additional charge. General parking details will be announced at a later date, however general parking vouchers from the regular season will not be accepted for Big Ten Tournament games.

With the quick turnaround of these playoff games and sudden changes in seeding that could occur during the final weeks of the regular season, mobile ticketing will be the primary method of entry for the Big Ten Hockey Tournament.  Physical paper tickets will not be mailed. For the easiest and most convenient ticket management, fans are encouraged to download the Penn State Athletics app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android). Fans can reference the Mobile Ticketing How to Guides for additional information on mobile ticketing.

Fans who do not have access to a smart phone can pick up their tickets at Will Call. Tickets will only be printed for the name on the Penn State Athletics Ticket Account and photo ID must be presented.
