Tyson Cooper is a returning sophomore catcher on the Penn State baseball team. Learn more about who inspired him to pursue baseball and what he is like off the field. 

Who were your baseball role models growing up?
David Ortiz and Mookie Betts
 
If you could play any position different from your own, what would it be?
Centerfield because you get to run around, make diving catches and rob homers.
 
What/Who inspired you to pursue baseball?
I grew up around the game and would always love going to my dad's teams' practices and games from an early age.
 
What's your go-to karaoke song?
Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio.
 
What TV show could you watch over and over again and never get sick of?
Family Guy because it always makes me laugh.
 
Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?
Will Ferrell because he would make me look a lot funnier than I probably am.
 
What is your favorite class you've taken at Penn State so far?
BBH (biobehavioral health) because I had a crush on my professor.
 
What's your favorite thing about Penn State?
I love the atmosphere here because everyone makes you feel right at home and loves to have fun.
 
What would you do if you won the lottery?
If I won the lottery I would put a "cool" quarter mil in a GoYard Duffel Bag.
 
What does your ideal lazy day look like?
Wake up, get an iced coffee from Dunkin and watch my fantasy team do work!
 
What instantly puts you in a good mood?
Usually anything by Gunna or a Bang Energy Drink will do the trick.
 
What music are you listening to right now?
Pluto Baby Pluto, the album by Future and Lil Uzi Vert.
 
Sweet or salty snacks?
Both…I know, I'm a wild card.
